Dana Schirmer, Executive Secretary

Dana is the Foundation Executive Secretary, He manages The Foundation office in Topeka,KS.  He has been the Executive Secretary since June 2009. He started dancing in 1968 and began calling in 1978. He has served two terms on the Board of Governors and has served on staff at Kirkwood Lodge providing dance entertainment to non square dance families vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks. Dana also Conducts caller training sessions for newer callers and was the Business Chairman for the 57th National Square Dance Convention to be held in Wichita, Kansas in 2008.

Dana met his wife Donna through square dancing and they were married in 1994. Dana retired from the Santa Fe Railway in 1996 as Manager of Financial Reporting and Budgets. He then went to work for Heartland China, Inc. as Office Administrator and Controller. In 2000 he and Donna bought the company and operated it for four years. They sold the company in 2004. Donna is employed by Bartlett and West Engineers in Topeka, KS.

Wade Morrow, Office Manager

Wade Morrow was born and raised in Shelby, NC and served four years in the U. S. Air Force.  He square danced early in life and recently returned to the activity with his wife Laura by joining the Happy Time Squares located in Lawrence, KS, Vic Perry as their club caller. 

In October 2008 Wade enrolled at the “Kaw Valley Caller School” with Dana Schirmer as the instructor. Wade attended his first CALLERLAB convention in 2009 and offered his services to the CALLERLAB Foundation shortly thereafter by applying for a position in the new CALLERLAB  Foundation Home Office.

Wade, Laura and their daughter Lydia reside in Lawrence, KS.

Royce Dent, Administrative Support - Coordinator

Royce was born in Topeka, KS and was raised in a small rural town nearby. She began square dancing over 30 years ago in her hometown and soon joined a Topeka club whose caller was CALLERLAB’s own Dana Schirmer.  Her love for square dancing has given her the opportunity to travel, meet many new friends, and now to support the CALLERLAB Home Office doing editing, convention planning, and other activities.  She also assisted Dana and Donna with the business portion of the 57th National Convention held in Wichita, KS until she moved to Papillion, NE where she now resides.

Royce sings with a well-known choral organization in Omaha, and is very active doing volunteer work in her church and community.  Her extensive nursing experience serves her well as the Credentialing Manager for a Topeka managed care health plan.  She is very proud of her two sons, Brian and Billy
